Chloe's Autumn at West Town

After much deliberation over placements and forms, I decided to do 3 days work experience at West Town Farm and have not been disappointed! I've been getting involved with the current projects on the farm; on Monday I helped the volunteer garden group to clear an area in the garden-tackling armies of nettles. On Tuesday I went on a walk around the farm with Jo, documenting Autumn through a variety of photographs of the natural changes happening on the farm. Wednesday saw Jo and I helping at Chestnut Avenue Nursery, making apple people with the children.

Beech leaves turning in autumn.

Inspired by Andy Goldsworthy-Jo and I sorted leaves we'd collected from the garden into colour groups and then I began a sculpture.

The finished sculpture centered in the Yurt

Community permaculture group

Hello All who came to the meeting today.
Thanks for all your ideas and thoughts for the garden.
I just thought I'd try writing on this blog to see if it would work for us to use for future discussion.
If you find this could you respond!
Andy is contacting Beech hill to see if we can go for a composting and compost loo visit on the 6th Nov.
Could you let me know if you would like to come?
Thanks
Jo
